My latest and greatest project of all time is being planned at this very moment. Project VP1, the airplane I will be constructing is in the planning stage. The Volksplane VP1 is my choice for developement because of its proven design, ease of construction and low cost build. Plans are readily available on the internet at the Evans Aircraft website. The VP1 is very easy to mod and ideas are everywhere on the internet. Starting out, I will be sticking with the basic design and maybe adding some mods later on in the years.
Because of my interest in aviation, my love of working with my hands, and my very limited funds, I will start construction as soon as I can find a place o put it. Building this aircraft is the cheapest way to own your own airplane. A cost for a VP1 is around $4,000.
If you want to know how to build your own, get the plans at Evans Aircraft’s web site, http://www.evansair.com/. There are also plenty of groups available on the internet with any questions you might have. Go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/volksplane for more information.
I am here at the end of my adolescent school days, preparing for the end of my last year in high school. What a relief! Not to go to much on to another issue, senior year was a joke. I have done more to prepare for my career by my own doing than this year could ever have given me. I am just glad to get the necessary out of the way and get on with more important things.
I started flying (again) after a long period with no funds. So now I am on the verge of getting my student pilot license. I am happy to have the ability to know what I want to do in life and the resources to do it with. Evjen-Fox productions are in the making of a short film which will show the funness and awesomeness of flying, spins, zero-g, and numerous other flying endevors. I will put info about it on this site.
My graduation is May 25, finals are on the 18-19th which are my last two days of school also. (Phew…) I apologize to my numerous readers for not writing anything for the last couple months. I will try and post more, with more interesting readings.
Let me say that the concern over the rights of a pregnant women and her decision to keep or abort her baby is a supreme example of the Western World’s view on responsibility. All actions have a reaction, all causes have an effect. What irresponsible people do not realize is that the reason they’re having a baby (in most cases) is that they didn’t think, or chose to ignore the effects of their actions. If you have sex — unprotected or not — you take the risk of becoming pregnant. This isn’t an “accident”. It is a lack of responsibility on your part and like any other predicament in life, you can’t right it with another wrong (abortion), it just makes things worse.
Now transfer the focus over to the equally responsible man and you now have a recent emergence of a new debate. Not only does the case knicknamed Roe vs. Wade for Men void men of financial responsibility for a baby born by their actions, it leaves the mother to fend for herself in the dust. How does this impact an often very young woman who “unexpectadly” gives birth and is left without help from the father? It’s like a pilot in a fatal spin to earth watching everyone else parachute out while he sits strapped in the cockpit.
Final thought: if men do not want responsibility in the birth of a child and it’s life thereafter, don’t have sex. If you don’t want to get burned, don’t touch the frying pan!
